Barran Liebman is honored to once again be distinguished as a Band 1 firm in the Chambers & Partners National Rankings for 2019. Each year, Chambers & Partners researchers conduct client and attorney interviews in order to identify individual attorneys and law firms who exceed qualities that are most valued by clients. This is the 17th consecutive year that Barran Liebman has received Band 1 recognition and this continued dedication to excellence makes the firm the longest ranking on the list.
In addition to the firm’s notable expertise within the Labor & Employment practice area, Barran Liebman’s efforts to lead by example are reflected in the firm’s devotion to clients, the community, and the legal profession as a whole. In this year’s rankings, a client stated that they were impressed by Barran Liebman’s “ability to understand our strategy, culture and values,” going on to say that the firm “then incorporates those into their advice and assistance.” Other sources reported that the firm’s “performance is stellar” and that “they are responsive, easy to work with, and take a personal interest in our organization.” Barran Liebman is proud of the tremendous dedication from its team and is excited to announce the following individual award recipients:
Paula Barran has held Band 1 recognition since 2003 and Edwin Harnden, Barran Liebman’s Co-Managing Partner, has held Band 1 recognition since 2009. This is the highest honor awarded by Chambers & Partners and Barran Liebman is proud to see these influential partners retain this honor for yet another year in a row. One client noted that Paula is “absolutely excellent at employment law” and is recognized “at the top of the market” in terms of “her skills, knowledge, and approach to legal problems”. Edwin Harnden continues to be considered “top-notch in his field.”
Richard Liebman once again received the “Senior Statesman” ranking for his longstanding commitment and exceptional work in the Labor & Employment practice area. One source enthused that he is “one of the top labor attorneys in the Pacific Northwest” with “the ability to strongly pursue company objectives.” His extensive experience has led him to maintain this ranking since 2003.
Last but not least, Barran Liebman is excited to announce Kyle Abraham and Amy Angel as “Up & Coming Attorneys” in the field of Labor & Employment Law. According to sources, Amy is “very bright and good at what she does.” For Kyle Abraham, this is his first year named to the list, with clients reporting that he is a “strong advocate” who is “very good at managing case presentation and targeting those objectives which result in a favorable outcome.” Barran Liebman is excited to announce these numerous recognitions, and is grateful to the entire Barran Liebman team for their contributions.
